Unique hikes, homestays, and cultural exchange with a warm Dominican coastal community

GuanAventuras offers you a unique experience to connect with the vibrant nature, culture, and communities of the Southern Coast in the Dominican Republic. Plenty of opportunities await! Whether it is densely packed cloud forest, crystal clear waterfalls or the milky blue folds of the Carribean – GuanAventuras combines local insight and flavor to make sure your experience is truly.

We offer a menu of guided hiking tours, unique homestays that immerse you in Dominican culture, a restaurant with spectacular views of the southern coast, and locally produced arts and crafts.

While enjoying walks on pristine nature trails with GuanAdventuras’ specially trained guides, you will discover the rich natural diversity we have to offer. Our region is the proud host of the greatest concentration of endemic species anywhere in the Caribbean! Flurries of colorful butterflies, elegant alligators, playful birds, and beautiful flowers dot the landscape, and around every corner lies the possibility of yet another spectacular panoramic of the blue-green ocean crashing against tropical cliffs.

Our rolling hills are filled with exotic tropical fruits and crops. Our local community is proud to demonstrate the complete lifecycle of the coffee process – starting from the moment the seed goes into the earth all the way until it reaches your cup.

A GuanAventuras experience is more than a hike through the woods, it’s a door into a different world where you will share in our lives, culture, history, legends, dances, and festivals. Learn the knowledge that has been passed down over generations through our practices, herbal remedies and songs. Come visit!
