Sustainability
Our business is motivated by a desire for community development. All employees are hired from the local communities to operate the business. A portion of our profits goes to fund community development initiatives in the barrios surrounding the mountain and whenever possible are linked to environmental conservation initiatives for the Natural Monument.
The business itself supports conservation by empowering the community through income generation linked to environmental stewardship. This link is essential to developing a strong culture of environmentalism and conservation, creating tangible benefits from conservation in the eyes of community members. Our community development projects link the condition of the park to community benefits and therefore the success of the park will lead directly to the development of the community.
